This heritage home has been an icon of Takapuna for over 128 years. Constructed in 1891 it has stayed in the same family for generations.

Recently bought the home was in desperate need of exterior painting and the new owners wanted to preserve the beauty and character of this home. With sun-damaged and 128-year-old peeling paint, many weatherboards and windows required paint stripping. SCOPE OF WORK

  • Housewash all exterior surfaces ready for painting.
  • Paint stripping of all unstable surfaces.
  • Prepare all surfaces using commercial sanders with vacuum collection system.
  • On all bare timber primer, sealer, undercoat was applied.
  • Apply 2 Full Top Coats in colour of choice.
